Joe has a Master's degree in Political and Social Sciences with a specialisation in Communication conferred by the University of Catania and a Diploma in Graphic Design awarded by the European Institute of Design in Milan. In Italy he worked at the university both in research and teaching, where after publishing essays on Social Advertising and other Scientific Information, he achieved the title of Research fellow in Sociology of Media. In 2007 he moved to England and worked teaching Italian to different levels and groups of age. He holds an English teaching qualification PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector). Later he decided to put together his experience, culture and passion for languages and found Tertulia, a company dedicated to teaching Modern Foreign Languages.
Flor possesses a BA in Education and Training Studies and is a qualified teacher. She has completed her Professional Certificate for Post Compulsory Education qualification and Post Graduate Certificate in Education in Modern and Foreign Languages (PGCE), both certified by Portsmouth University. From 2007, Flor has been applying her knowledge and theoretical skills gained from academic studies by teaching Modern and Foreign Languages to various levels and groups of age. Flor is in charge of designing appropriate English courses for overseas students which will offer them the opportunity to experience and immerse themselves into British culture and the English language. Alongside this, she ensures that the language courses are developed and conducted to the highest standards by making sure that every student feels comfortable; hence guaranteeing a great learning experience.
Andrew is a languages teacher with over 25 years of experience teaching English, French and German in schools and in Adult Education at the University of Portsmouth and in Colleges. He has also taught English as a Foreign Language for EF Language Travel and other EFL course providers. He has a B.A. Honours degree in French, a P.G.C.E. in Modern Foreign Languages, a Masters Degree in Translation, and a TEFL qualification from the University of Portsmouth. He believes that being able to communicate with others in their own language, opens up a whole host of opportunities. Learning a language engenders understanding in other people’s cultures. He enjoys working with individuals and groups to help everyone achieve their potential and become capable and speakers of languages other than their own
Ilenia is a CELTA qualified teacher with a degree in Modern Languages (Portuguese, French and Spanish) currently living in London. She has taught English, Spanish and Italian to students of any age and language background both online and face to face. Her lessons are fun and engaging centered on the communicative approach to make sure all her students gain confidence to use the language from the very first lessons. Julia is an ESOL, French and Spanish teacher with twenty years' experience. She was a language trainer to English and French customs officers before teaching in a secondary school for a number of years. She has a PGCE, DIP TFLA and Cert TEFL.
